4.0 cu. ft. Counter-Depth Laboratory Upright Freezer with Manual Defrost Capable of -30 Degrees C Operation Temperature Alarm & Display and Front Lock

Product arrived as described, easy to operate and seems to be holding temperature very stable. Item works well in an industrial enviroment. Users wish it was not white but that is not the freezers fault. This solution much more cost effective vs local supplier, almost 3 to 1.

Frigidaire FFU12F2HW 12.1 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer - White

I was actually looking for a smaller freezer to take the overload from my fridge freezer, but for the price difference, this somewhat larger freezer (12.1 Cubic Feet), which is frost-free and has an interior light was a much better deal. I remember my mother defrosting her freezer years ago and really didn't want to have to do that. It's a huge hassle. But neither did I need a big fancy freezer and my space is limited. This freezer really fits my needs. It is not too big (outside measurements: 5' H, 28" W, 26" deep)and not too heavy so it can sit on the little platform in the garage outside my mudroom door. We got it up the stairs on a hand truck with no problem. It's handy for me there and doesn't seem to mind the heat in the garage. It's well insulated.I am using an appliance quality extension cord to the nearest outlet, which is working fine. We adjusted the front leveler legs up slightly per directions so the door swings shut by itself, which is nice if my hands are full. The door provides a secure seal. It has a pocket grasp handhold for opening rather than a latch. The door can not be reversed to open on the other side. There are no baskets supplied with the freezer and I wanted those so have ordered some small freezer baskets Chrome Basket (Chrome) (8"H x 11.75"W x 12.75"D) for the shelves to contain my produce sealed in plastic using my FoodSaver. These baskets are a shade too wide to fit two abreast on the shelves, but I got one for each shelf…

Haier HUF168PB 16.8 Cubic Foot Capacity Full-Size Frost-Free Freezer, White

I have purchased a few large ticket (white goods) items on line before. This one was purchased with curbside drop off, but the freight company hired by the manufacturer actually brought the freezer down an incline, down 2 small steps, and then set the freezer in place, even though they had to remove the hinges on a door to get the product into the basement.I have just had the freezer for a few weeks, and it seems to be working fine, but what makes this special was the extra care the driver and assistant took to make sure that the freezer was in place, leveled properly, and functioning. They even helped move frozen food from my old freezer to the new one. And, oh, by the way, the product was made in America!

Frigidaire FCCS201FW Commercial 19.9 Cu. Ft., Food Service Grade, Chest Freezer - White

I purchased this item specifically because the freezer pictured in the advertisement has a sliding glass top. Upon receipt of the shipment, I discovered that the freezer they sent had a standard, chest-freezer flip-up lid. As soon as I saw this, I went back to the item on Amazon and took a screen shot of the advertisement. When I informed TheFactoryDepot that the item received was not the item ordered, they claimed that because the advertised item number was the same as the one I received, there was no error and they refused to pay for the return shipping or to refund my original shipping cost of $150. I even sent them a screen shot that I took -- by the next day they had changed the picture to the correct item! This is a tacit admission of error!Additionally, Amazon was of no help -- their A-Z guarantee is pretty worthless. Buyer beware!

Frigidaire FFU21M7HW 20.7 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer - White

The freezer broke down 3 weeks after I bought it. I lost all food items stored in the freezer for Christmas. The seller said they can not replace it and just gave us a phone number of the manufacturer who in turn gave us a number of the local repair shop. The repair guy said the compressor was bad and suggested that I negotiate with the manufacturer to get a new one because this is like buying a new car and replacing the engine right away. I called the manufacturer but they refused to replace it. The repair guy ordered a new compressor for me but does not know how long it will take to get it. Simply, I will never pruchase a Frigidaire product.

Frigidaire FFU14F5HW 14.0 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer - White

My wife and I bought this freezer from Lowe's less than 2 years ago. 1 year ago, the digital control unit failed and we almost lost hundreds of dollars worth of meat. Last week, the unit stopped cooling and again we had to put hundreds of dollars worth of meat elsewhere. My wife spent hours on the phone with Frigidaire, who finally agreed to pay for parts and labor in order to fix the unit. We called one of their contractors who came out that very day. He spent 30 minutes or so doing various checks and found that there was a leak in the interior wall, which he said could not be fixed. He then called Frigidaire and they told him they wouldn't do anything. My wife called again and they refused to replace or even have the decency to give a discount on another unit. She told them that they would be losing their reputation and that we would tell everyone considering their products not to buy them. Lesson learned - NEVER BUY FRIGIDAIRE.

Whirlpool EV250NXTQ

I have been looking at this model for about a month and just about ready to buy but came across a review for this new unit. This unit was launched the summer of 2010 and not many reviews at all but Consumer Reports gives Whirlpool freezers a high rating overall. After reading this negative review about warranty exception I called Whirlpool to confirm this and the reviewer was correct. Apparently Whirlpool will void the warranty if the freezer is kept in temps that exceed 90 degrees or less than 40 degrees. Most folks keep these freezers either in their garage or basement for the most part if they have them and the reality is the manufacturer hasn't designed this unit to live in the real world of most home owners. Whirlpool's advise that I check with other manufacturers since she believed they are all made this way and have to be kept in careful climate. The reviewer was from MS where it gets hot but I live in SW Washington and it also get very hot in the summer. I am not spending 900.00 for a freezer that will break down compared to my older fridge/freezer that is ancient and keeps on ticking in hot and cold conditions in my garage. I have no basement and have no room to put a huge 24cf freezer in my house! How many folks you know have a stand up freezer in their kitchen or bedroom or whatever or anyplace else that has heat and air conditioning? If so then this freezer is for you but the majority of us will wait.

GE FUF14SVRWW 13.7 cu. Ft. Upright Freezer - White

Considered this and purchased at HD in early July (7 weeks ago), put it on my patio. It has worked out very well, not that loud - it hums along when its on, but its not like LOUD - no way. Holds a lot of stuff - I organize it in cardboard boxes by type, has worked perfectly so far, but just in case, got the extended warranty. The outside does get warm (as mentioned in the comments) but it is not hot. If you read the manual, it is supposed to get warm that's how it gets rid of the excess heat to cool the interior. That is normal. So don't go piling stuff on top or you cut down on the efficiency. My only complaint is not with the freezer itself, but with HD and their outsource delivery service. I told them I did not want it deliv 1st thing in the morning. I told them 3 times b/c I have scheduling problem that early. What did they do? Scheduled me as the first stop. It was a problem trying to reach a live person as they were on their way here, but did finally get them to turn around and come later. I noticed on the truck they had laid it down - said manufacturing had changed and they can now do that blah blah. I stood it up for most of the day (6-8 hours) before plugging it in, then let it run overnight before putting stuff in it. Leg levelers are only on front - since patio slopes we put shims underneath feet to level it out. I love this freezer, wish I had got it long ago. It is an excellent buy and I would definitely do it again. Frost free is the way to go! And, NO, its not…

Haier HUF138PB 13.8 Cubic Foot Capacity Full-Size Frost-Free Freezer, White

FREEZER ARRIVED DECEMBER 13TH. HOOKED IT UP AND SET CONTROL AT MID LEVEL. PUT A THERMOMETER INSIDE. TEMPERATURE NEVER GOT BELOW 35 DEGREES. SET TO MAXIMUM COOLING WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. CALLED OUT SERVICE TWICE. UNIT STILL NOT WORKING AFTER 2 SERVICE CALLS. REPEATED DELAYS WITH MANUFACTURER HAVE RESULTED IN INABILITY TO RETURN (TIME LAPSE). HAIER IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET ON THE PHONE AND YOU CANNOT USE INTERNET TO REPORT PROBLEMS. THEY USE AN ANSWERING SERVICE WHEN THEY EXPERIENCE CALL OVERLOAD AND THEN SAY THEY WILL RETURN CALL WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS. I HAD 50 % SUCCESS GETTING CALLS RETURNED. SERVICE PEOPLE ARRIVE LATE TOO. DON'T EVER BUY A LARGE APPLIANCE FROM AMAZON. THE RETURNS POLICY VERY DIFFICULT TO IMPLEMENT.

Amana 20.3 Cu. Ft. White Freestanding Upright Freezer - AQU2003TRW

I just went to my Home Depot, planning to buy an upright freezer. Everything about this freezer (the only one they had on floor) was exactly what I was looking for.............BUT..... then I noticed the curved top on the door! WHY? The top of the freezer is flat, but for some unknown reason the door is curved. This is to replace my present freezer, but the curved door makes it difficult to put it in the space as my old freezer. When I asked the salesperson WHY? He said he wasn't sure, but he did mention that it had given THEM a bit of a problem, because THEY couldn't push it all the way back on their display shelf, due to the door.

Sundanzer Solar-Powered Chest Freezer - 5.8 Cubic Ft., 30in.L x 40in.W x 37in.H

Buying a Sundanzer involves some choices. First is the size. If you have the space, get the largest unit. The reason is that the compressor is the same for all of them, and the only thing that changes is how often the compressor cycles. So the largest one will draw the same number of watts; it will simply do so a bit more often (using more watt-hours overall). After deciding on the size, you'll have another difficult choice to make: fridge or freezer. In fact there's absolutely no difference between the two except for the thermostat used. You could, as I did, get both thermostats. Then if you later decide you'd rather have a fridge instead of a freezer (or vice-versa), you can swap them in a fairly easy operation. My unit is currently set up as a fridge. I keep it packed at the coolest setting in a hot garage. The temperature inside stays just above freezing. To accomplish this, the unit consumes approximately 300 watt-hours per day (drawing around 45 watts while the compressor's active). That means a 250 amp-hour 12-volt deep cycle battery will keep this arrangement going for 10 days (assuming you don't mind draining and possibly damaging the battery; normally you don't want to go below 50% of the battery's capacity). The scenario I've described is fairly demanding; during an extended power outage you'd probably want to adjust the thermostat to something more reasonable than just above freezing. The actual energy usage depends on many factors, including the ambient temperature…

I purchased this model from the AJ Madison web site not amazon and I am completely satisfied. There was no shipping charges unlike amazon wanted a little $200 for shipping. I received my fridge in 2 days and couldn't be happier with it. The amount of storage on this thing is awesome and it looks very well made and quiet for what I paid for it.I placed it on tile and the whole fridge would move when i opened the door but when you fill it with lots of beer it solves the problem. I wish I got this years ago

Avanti VM165 5.8 CF UPRIGHT FREEZER

This is a fantastic freezer but I dinged it one star because the company replaced the drawers with shelves. If you like shelves, as Avanti says most people do, you will LOVE this freezer.I own the Avanti 799 and it has 5 clear drawers that I can organize my frozen goods in. I wanted to buy another one and Avanti no longer makes the drawers and just has the ugly wire shelves. So I purchased the Equator below. Here is an upright with DRAWERS not shelves. Equator FR 650 Upright Freezer. I now own the refrigerator and their freezer. Here is their phone number Equatorappliance dot com Main: (713) 464-3422 / (800) 935-1955. See my Amazon review on the Equator freezer.According to Avanti, this model VM165 is the same as the VM 799 except slightly smaller interior and it has no drawers. Avanti didn't say it but the EPA constantly pushing energy star efficiency forces manufacturers to use more insulation. If I had to guess, the extra insulation made the Avanti interior smaller and to cut costs, Avanti gave up drawers for shelves. Whirlpool (and I bet Avanti also) makes small upright freezers with drawers for European and Asian markets - very popular - but Whirlpool doesn't make them for the American market thanks to a hostile nanny state EPA.Pros1. It is a manual. This means it is more more energy efficient and it isn't as likely to freezer burn food. It has to be defrosted once or twice a year and it is simple to do.2. It is VERY TOUGH. It survived my forgetfulness. After defrosting,…
